About the Author
Nicole Gervace was raised in a suburb of Cleveland Ohio but has lived in the Colorado Front Range area since 1994. She received her BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her MFA from Goddard College. Her awards include: McNair Scholar, LEAD scholar, Jovanovich award, UROP grant, an Addison Mini-Grant from the Boulder County Arts Alliance and most recently, a Neodata Endowment. She has been published in several on line journals including SHAMPOO, The Fifth Street Review, Can We Have Our Ball Back?, and XCP: Streetnotes. Excerpts of her essay "The Safehouse Teaching Journal" have appeared in the November issue of Quiet Mountain Essays. Nicole's work is risky and bold. She is not afraid to make giant leaps when discussing the relationships between humans, their details, and their intimacies while simultaneously focusing on larger contemporary women's issues.
